Hello, we purchased a pass holder on our recent cruise; I just went on the DCL website to book another cruise, but the pass holder isn’t showing up. Just wondering where to find it. Thank you!

Ahoy there, Marcella! Welcome to planDisney!

Ah, the placeholder reservation. Legend has it that the smartest, most intrepid travelers never disembark a Disney Cruise Line vacation without one. Not only are they a great way to entice yourself to take another cruise, but sometimes they're the only thing keeping you from bursting into tears as you walk off the ship, wishing that just one more day could be spent on the shining decks of the Disney Cruise Line fleet...

    No? Just me?

Well, in any case, you've taken the "planDrew-approved" approach of booking a placeholder, so you get full marks for planning ahead. You're well on your way to becoming a Disney Cruise Line expert!

But where did it go? Placeholder reservations don't really dock in the same system as your fully-booked reservations, so you won't see them on the Disney Cruise Line website under "My Reservations." This is why to convert a placeholder into a full reservation, you always need to call a crew member to select your sailing rather than to book online. That said, you should definitely search for the destinations, Port Adventures, onboard activities, and more that you would like to experience to help you select the perfect itinerary for your next cruise!

You should have received an email confirmation 24-72 hours after your last adventure ended. I always like to search for this email in my inbox by searching the term "onboard booking confirmation," since those words are usually in the subject line! Now, I have heard that some of these confirmation emails have been delayed recently, so if you cannot find your email, rest assured that a crew member can look up your placeholder by your name and other information when you call in - so no worries about it going overboard!

I hope that puts you more at ease about the whereabouts of your placeholder reservation, Marcella! I know what it's like to think, "it must be stranded somewhere on a desert island..." and wishing I could be right there with it, haha! Thank you so much for your question, and if you think of any others as you continue your planning, please sail my way again here at planDisney!

Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass true!
