Hey Heather!
Thanks for swinging by with a question and welcome to
planDisney!
The scenario you are describing happens all the time. I am happy to report that there is a simple solution. And, you do not have to change the name on your unused ticket in order for your wife to use it. Once you arrive at the turnstiles of the
Disneyland Resort Theme Parks, a Cast Member will take one picture of you and one picture of your wife. Those pictures will be linked to your tickets. From then on, the ticket will be associated with the person in the picture, not the name on the ticket. So you and your wife will be able to distinguish which ticket is which and so will the Cast Member at the turnstiles.
With your
Park Hopper ticket, you are welcome to hop to the other theme park after 1:00 p.m. on the day of your visit. You are not required to make an additional reservation to visit the other theme park or hop back and forth between both parks. But, as always, theme park admission is subject to attendance availability.
I hope you and your wife enjoy a magical vacation at “The Happiest Place on Earth!” Please come back to see us if you think of more questions.
