Heidi, I am in the same boat as you. Despite having quite a few tickets linked to my profile and those of my
Family & Friends in
My Disney Experience, none of the tickets are showing me the option to change or modify the ticket to add
Disney Genie+.
Disney Genie+ can be purchased daily through the
My Disney Experience app, beginning at midnight on the date you would like to use it. Since the first
Lightning Lane attraction with Genie+ can be reserved at 7:00 am, I am planning on completing my purchase around 6:45 or so. I already have a credit card
stored as a payment method in my profile, so this should only take a couple of minutes.
If you would like to add Disney Genie+ for the entire length of your ticket, stop by a
Guest Relations location or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs to see if you can upgrade your tickets to include this option. I have actually decided to only purchase Genie+ for the days of my trip when I plan to visit a lot of attractions -- there are some days that I am primarily focused on enjoying the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. I'll put my savings from not buying Genie+ on those days towards
yummy 50th Anniversary Celebration snacks!
