Hi there Michael, Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your excellent question. I'm thrilled to assist you! How exciting that you're planning a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort! You are sure to make awesome memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
As of January 9th, 2024, Disney World no longer requires a Park Pass Reservation for most guests. Anyone who buys a regular date-based ticket (either tickets only or as part of a vacation package) no longer has to reserve their park visit in advance.
Although reservations are no longer required, you can still reserve a spot in the
virtual queue on the day you visit the parks. To join the queue, open the My Disney Experience app a few minutes before it opens at either 7 AM or 1 PM. Tap the three horizontal lines at the bottom right of the screen, then select "Virtual Queue" under "My Visit." Choose the virtual queue you would like to join and follow the prompts to join the queue, confirming your party members as needed.
Quick tip: If you’re visiting with a group, have multiple people try to join the virtual queue on different devices to increase your chances.
Michael, I hope you find this information helpful. Thank you again for visiting planDisney. We'll see ya real soon!
