Hi there, José, and welcome to planDisney!
Your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth is only a few weeks away. The countdown is officially on! I'm sure you're making your lists and checking them twice because every planning detail will help you to relax and enjoy your vacation even more next month. Now, let's get into your park-hopping question.
While some Mouseketeers like to do one theme park per day, I'm in the camp where I like to visit as many places as possible if I can. It seems like you're right there with me on that one! And purchasing a theme park ticket with a
Park Hopper option means that you're already prepared to get to hoppin' around the theme parks!
After you've visited your first park of the day, which you need a
theme park reservation for, you are free to park hop after the clock strikes 2 p.m. I have been an
Annual Passholder throughout the entirety of the "theme park reservations years," and I have rarely seen the theme park that I'd like to park hop to become unavailable. It happens, but it's normally if there's a huge event or if it's a busy holiday like Christmas or New Year's Eve.
Looking at your arrival date, you may be around during Halloween, so you may see Magic Kingdom Park reach capacity in preparation for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party; but even then, this unavailability for the second half of the day doesn't happen often. Also, although I don't know the exact statistics, I don't think there's ever been a day where all four parks have reached capacity. So, you'll always have somewhere to go with your Park Hopper option.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you're still not at ease about the theme park reservation system, consider making most of your days start at Magic Kingdom Park. It is the most attended theme park, and it would be the top contender for a sold-out day, especially with the new addition of
TRON Lightcycle / Run. But really and truly, José, I do feel like you will be just fine finding a theme park to visit after your first.
José, if you have any other questions about your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World Resort, please
revisit us here at planDisney. We love what we do here, and any one of us would be more than happy to share our experiences and suggestions.
Magic always,
LeAndra
