Hello, Janet!
I’m always anxious to visit the Disneyland Resort again sooner than later. But sometimes life happens and plans need to be changed. Fortunately, the
theme park reservation system provides the flexibility needed for that.
To change a
theme park reservation, open the “Future Plans” screen from the ☰ feature menu of the
Disneyland mobile app then tap one of the “Disney Theme Park Reservation” entries. That will open the "
My Theme Park Reservations" page. From there, use the “Cancel Reservation” link to unlink your tickets from the reserved date. Follow the prompts to cancel the park reservation for all of the tickets you need to update. Your tickets will remain valid until the expiration date indicated at the time of purchase. So you can re-book a new park reservation for an available date without buying new tickets. To do so, return to the "
My Theme Park Reservations" page and use the “Book Theme Park Reservation” link. Note that park reservations are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. So I recommend checking the
theme park reservation availability calendar to make sure your preferred dates are available.
If you are using 1-day tickets, new park reservations may be made for another date that is at the same or lower
ticket tier. If you need to book a reservation on a date of a higher tier, there are a couple of options. You may stop by a main entrance ticket booth to upgrade your ticket to a higher tier. Note that theme park reservations must still be available for same-day entry. Or you may purchase a new ticket for the higher-tier date ahead of time and stop by a ticket booth when you arrive. There, you may present your original, wholly-unused ticket and your new ticket of equal or greater value to request a refund for the original ticket.
I hope you enjoy this season, Janet. I just returned from a visit. I was thrilled to see the decorations for the Fall and for
Halloween Time. Some of my favorite things were the special Haul-O-Ween versions of attractions in
Cars Land and, of course,
Haunted Mansion Holiday. Some friends and I also enjoyed watching the
Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular from The
Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. We could even listen to the soundtrack from the TV in the villa.
Have a magical time, Janet!
