Hi there, EunJi!
I’m happy to provide some information to help you plan for your visit to the Disneyland Resort. It’s great that you are looking into the different options for theme park admission. I hope I can help you find what will work best for you.
When converting Disneyland Resort ticket types, the basic rule of thumb is that you can upgrade your ticket to another ticket of equal or greater value. In some cases, this may mean that available upgrade options will provide more days at the theme parks. If you want to change a ticket from a
Park Hopper to a
One Park Per Day ticket, there is one additional condition: the ticket must be wholly unused. To upgrade your theme park ticket, stop by a main entrance ticket booth.
If you purchased your ticket directly from Disney, you may also place a call to the
Tickets phone line or chat with a Cast Member through the
Disneyland mobile app. Whether you upgrade your ticket in person or remotely, you will want to have as much information and documentation on hand as possible. That may include your ticket purchase confirmation email, your original form of payment, and a valid photo ID.
Tony’s Tip: I’ll throw out one more option that is actually something that I did with my
theme park ticket last year: I upgraded my ticket to a Disneyland Resort
Magic Key! As a Magic Key holder, you would have the opportunity to extend the magic of the Disneyland Resort into additional visits within the next 12 months. To upgrade your ticket to Magic Key, use the “Tickets and Passes” screen in the
Disneyland mobile app. Eligible tickets will be accompanied by a button that says “Upgrade to a Magic Key Pass.” Tap that button to extend the magic even more! Be sure to complete the
upgrade from a theme park ticket to Magic Key before the end of the last day of validity for the ticket.
I hope you have a magical time during your visit to the Disneyland Resort, EunJi. It’s been a pleasure helping out today. I hope you’ll visit us at planDisney again if you have any more questions.
