Hi there, Amy! Thanks for stopping by
planDisney to chit-chat about my favorite way to spend a Disney day - park hopping!
Park hopping does look a little bit different than it did before, Amy. Now, Guests are required to make
park pass reservations which are like a virtual placeholder in line at the theme park you'd like to visit each day. The Walt Disney World theme parks are still operating at a limited capacity and this greatly helps with crowd control. Because of this, however, park hopping stipulations have changed a little bit.
Here's how park hopping is currently working: - Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must have park pass reservations for the initial theme park they plan on visiting each day
- On the day of, Guests wishing to park hop must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first before continuing to other theme parks later in the day
- It is not necessary or even possible to hold multiple park pass reservations for one day - just that initial one is required
- Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening
- To make park hopping a bit easier, complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is currently being provided
Park hopping is still very easy and so much fun, Amy. All you need to do is make sure you have a park pass reservation for the first park you are going to for the day. Then, you'll need to enter that park. You don't have to spend any time there per se but you do have to scan in. This sort of activates the park hopper feature each day. Then, after 2:00 p.m. you are free to park hop to any or all of the other
Walt Disney World Theme Parks until park closing. I've done two, three and all four theme parks in a day and had a great time.
I hope this helps break down park hopping a little bit better for you, Amy. If you have more questions about this or anything else, please stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Happy hopping!
Jackie H.
