If I purchased park hopper and I have a reservation for Magic Kingdom but Im not able to go, can I go to Epcot after 2pm even though I had a reservation to a different park but never showed up.

    Hi William,

Welcome to planDisney! I know purchasing your tickets and making theme park reservations are exciting steps in the Walt Disney World vacation planning process, but sometimes external factors can cause your plans to go awry.

Current Park Hopper rules state that you are required to make a theme park reservation for the first park you plan to visit and enter that park before you hop to another theme park at 2:00 PM. You do not need to make a theme park reservation for the parks you will hop to. If there is a possibility you could spend time in Magic Kingdom Park before 2:00 PM, then I would keep that theme park reservation. If you determine that you won’t make it to Magic Kingdom Park, you do have the option to modify your theme park reservation and change it to EPCOT. You can even do this on the day of your theme park visit, subject to availability. In your My Disney Experience account on the Walt Disney World website, scroll down to the “My Plans, Reservations and Tickets” section. Find the theme park reservation you would like to change and select “Modify Reservation,” then choose your new theme park reservation. If you have any issues with this process, I recommend calling the Cast Members at the number listed under “Existing Tickets” to help make the change over the phone.

I hope this was reassuring, William. Will you be attending one of the holiday parties this year? Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park are two special ticketed events that are sure to be merry and bright. Of course, you will have the opportunity to celebrate the holidays around the world during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays which runs from November 24 through December 30, 2023. The holiday season is one of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World Resort and I hope you enjoy it too!
