Hey there, Yessica! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
Unfortunately, there are no refunds on
tickets, hence changing your ticket type would mean that you would lose the value of the Park Hopper Ticket. Hence, it makes more sense to keep your Park Hopper Ticket.
That said, having a Park Hopper Ticket is pretty great, since the parks are so close together. My girls and I typically get Park Hopper Tickets since it takes us only two minutes to walk gate to gate. Your park reservation is for the park where you will start your day, and after 1:00 p.m., you can hop back and forth between the two parks as much as you’d like.
If you’re planning to add
Disney Genie+ to your day, having a Park Hopper maximizes the value you get with Genie+, as the cost of Genie+ is the same whether you have a One Park Per Day Ticket or Park Hopper Ticket. This way you can enjoy the
Lightning Lanes in both parks.
I hope this information is helpful. Enjoy your upcoming visit – hope it’s fabulous!
