Hi Gina, welcome to planDisney!
Your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be full of unbelievable sights and indescribable feelings. Just wait until you lay eyes on
Cinderella Castle, which recently received an EARidescent makeover in honor of
The World's Most Magical Celebration. The feeling I get walking down Main Street, U.S.A. each and every time is truly indescribable, though the words magical and dreamlike come to mind.
I'm so glad to hear you've purchased a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, Gina. An additional park ticket is like a bow on top of your beautifully wrapped package. Let's talk about unwrapping all that magic, shall we?
Valid admission, theme park reservations, and a method of entry (MagicBand, admission card, or MagicMobile pass) are currently required for theme park entry. Let's start by making sure that all of your tickets are
linked and appear at the bottom of the
My Plans page of your My Disney Experience account. It sounds like you've already made
theme park reservations, which is wonderful. These reservations are tied to valid admission, not a specific ticket. When you enter a theme park and have multiple tickets for the same individual linked to your My Disney Experience account, ticket prioritization comes into play. Here's the catch - Guests like you and me can't see which ticket is prioritized and set to be used first in My Disney Experience. This is true with or without the addition of the Park Hopper Option to your two-day park tickets. As such, you need to visit a Guest Relations window
before entering your first theme park. There, you can tell the friendly Cast Member which ticket you would like to prioritize, or use first, and they will wave their magic wand and make sure that information is registered in their system. This confirmation will give you peace of mind entering a park. I have to complete this step on most trips and on more than one occasion have realized the wrong ticket would have been used without Cast Member assistance.
I think you'll really enjoy the ability to visit multiple theme parks in one day with the
Park Hopper Option, Gina. Park hopping hours currently begin at 2:00 p.m. each day and you only need a theme park reservation for the first park you are entering each day. As a Guest of a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, take advantage of 30-minute
Early Theme Park Entry at all four theme parks each day to kickstart your magical mornings.
Plan magic; planDisney.
