Boo to you, Celsey!
Welcome to the planDisney Panel, your guides to The Spookiest Place on Earth! We’re delighted to help answer your questions about
Halloween Time, or any time, at the Disneyland Resort.
I’ve been in your shoes before. A member of our party was unable to join us on our Disneyland Resort vacation a few years ago. That meant we had an extra ticket to
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. We didn’t want the ticket to go to waste. So we texted a friend and asked if they would like to use it. (Who wouldn’t, right?) Well, we arrived at the party well before them. So we just texted a screenshot of the
Disney eTicket. They were able to use that screenshot directly from their mobile device to activate the eTicket and get a corresponding printed ticket card as well. For security, the ticket becomes linked to the person actually using it when the Cast Member at the park entrance takes their photo. So it also doesn’t matter if the name linked to the ticket doesn’t match the person using it. A while later, we were able to meet up with our friend after we had all entered the park already.
The easiest way for you to get the
Disney eTickets to your friend and her family would be to do what we did. You can email or text her a screenshot of the ticket. Or you can open the link in the confirmation email that shows a PDF of the tickets and send her a copy of that file too. She could print out the pages that are for her family and use the printouts or she could choose to show the file or eTicket screenshot on her device.
Tony’s Tip: When you enter
Disney California Adventure Park during the park, you will be given a wristband. Not only does that wristband act as a visual indicator of your entitlement to be in the park, but it also includes a unique
Disney PhotoPass code printed on it. You can enter the number code manually or scan the code symbol into your account in the
Disneyland mobile app. So when you take advantage of the complimentary PhotoPass opportunities during the party, you will only need to have your wristband scanned instead of opening your app. You can even scan all of the codes on the wristbands of your family and your friend’s family so that no matter who gets their wristband scanned by the photographer, you will have their photos linked to your account! Be sure to check out the
Disney PhotoPass Terms and Conditions and
expiration policy for more information.
I hope you and your friend have a spooktacular time, Celsey!
