Welcome to planDisney, Jorge!
What a great question!
When guests purchase a
Theme Park Ticket to
Walt Disney World, there are lots of options, so let's look at the specifics of the one you are using.
A 1-Day Ticket's price is based on the park you are choosing to attend as well as the date on which you plan to visit. When guests add the
Park Hopper Option to that 1-Day Ticket, they still have a 1-Day Ticket, but will be able to use that ticket to enter any of the four theme parks during that one day. It's a great way to pay one price while getting the option to access all four parks during that one day!
Depending on our plans, we sometimes have trips to Walt Disney World when we do not hop between parks on any day, keeping all of our activities located in just one place. When that's the case, adding the Park Hopper Option does not make sense for us as we likely won't use it. However, there are other times when we plan to be in one park right as it opens, get onto some favorite rides, then hop over to another park for a late lunch. On those days, we'll linger longer in that second park, hitting our favorites throughout the rest of the day, then stay for nighttime entertainment such as fireworks! For that trip, we'll add the Park Hopper Option to our tickets.
As you plan your visit, Jorge, I recommend you make the most of that Park Hopper! Pick a park that opens early, for example, then hop over to a park that stays open late. Use the
Hours & Events Calendar to determine the best way to maximize the fun. Keep in mind that park times vary and are often adjusted as you get closer to your day of arrival. With an eye on that calendar, you'll be able to adjust your park hopping plans, too. Easy peasy!
Jorge, as you plan your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
