I'm so glad that you are reading up on the exciting new
Disney Genie service! You are correct that Disney MaxPass has been officially retired and Disney Genie+ will take its place when it's released sometime this fall. While we don't know the official release date, we do know that valid tickets with a Disney MaxPass entitlement won't automatically switch over to the Disney Genie+ service. To learn more about your Disney MaxPass entitlement options, submit an inquiry to Guest Services via
email (select "Disney MaxPass Refunds" from the subject drop-down menu) or call (714) 781-4636. You'll need your ticket numbers and to submit your inquiry before your tickets expire.
If Disney Genie+ is available during your next visit to the Disneyland Resort, you can purchase it for $20 per day, per ticket. You will be able to select the next available return time for an attraction and skip most of the wait by using the Lightning Lane. Disney Genie+ will be available for more than 15 attractions at the parks and you can make one Disney Genie+ selection at a time all day long. Additionally, your
Disney PhotoPass downloads will be included on any day that you purchase and use Disney Genie+.
