Greetings, Debra, and welcome to planDisney! The
Oogie Boogie Bash is the place to be – with treat trails, rare Character appearances, special entertainment, and creative costumes, it's a really popular event. As you've seen, dates do sell out, including September 2, 2025. Let's get into it!
Debra, unfortunately, it isn't possible to purchase a ticket for an Oogie Boogie Bash date that is sold out. You can keep
checking the website to see if the date happens to open up, but I'd say that is not likely. The number of tickets available for each event date is limited, and they are nonrefundable.
Per the website, tickets are not available on the day of the event.
Be aware of third-party resellers or online marketplaces. Tickets may not be resold or transferred for commercial purposes. Buying from unofficial sources isn't allowed and can result in the ticket being cancelled and entry being denied. That would be a complete nightmare before Christmas! If someone wants to gift you a ticket, that would be ok, as long as it's not resold.
Now, this doesn’t quite help with a single ticket, but I did want to mention that the
Oogie Boogie Bash VIP Tour includes Park Hopper and event admission for a party of up to eight Guests. It's a premium experience that offers great perks, such as reserved seating for the parade, expedited access to certain attractions and treat trails, a dedicated tour guide, and more. It's something to consider for future years if you have a big party, need theme park and event tickets, and want to go all out.
Remember that, even outside of the Oogie Boogie Bash party, there are plenty of opportunities to
get in the Halloween spirit at the Disneyland Resort. There are boo-tiful decorations, special entertainment, tasty treats, seasonal overlays of popular attractions, themed merchandise, and more waiting to be discovered. With your special event tickets, you'll be able to enter California Adventure as early as 3 p.m. But if you also have theme park tickets, you can spend the whole day at the park. Perhaps the person in your party who doesn't have an event ticket can purchase a standard theme park ticket and enjoy the day with you until the event starts? Afterwards, they can explore the
Downtown Disney District or relax at the hotel. I realize this isn't an ideal solution, but it's an option!
I'd also recommend checking out
Character Dining at the Disneyland Resort hotels. There are some really fun options available this year during Halloween Time. Whether it's Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner at Storytellers Cafe or Halloween fun at Goofy's Kitchen, you'll have a great time enjoying an expansive buffet while also being visited at your table by the Disney Characters we all know and love.
Debra, I truly wish I had a better solution for your ticket dilemma. I hope you are able to find a solution that works for you and the others in your party. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.
Have a ghoulishly good time at the Oogie Boogie Bash,
Kriss
