Hey there Joshua and welcome to planDisney!
Looks like you're on your way to
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party next month, and you're absolutely right to wonder about the weather, especially with how
temperamental it could be amid Hurricane Season in Florida. In fact, this was precisely something that happened to us last year when our plans were derailed due to Hurricane Ian so I'm happy to let you know how my personal experience went with regard to an event cancellation:
- Along with the Hurricane Policy in place, we were informed that the evening we were due to attend the party was cancelled with the Theme Parks being closed. Since we had purchased our tickets directly through Disney, we were able to receive a refund back to our original form of payment within a few days as the Cast Members worked to restore a bit of normalcy upon reopening. (Bear in mind however, that policies may be subject to change without prior notice in the event that a similar closure should occur again.)
We were fortunate to be able to attend on another night last year after weathering the storm, only to discover that our second chance was on an evening of constant rainfall over Magic Kingdom Park after Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was already well underway! (As it turns out, though the Entertainment offerings like the
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular were modified or cancelled the party continued through the night despite the wet weather.)
I hope that this helped, and in the meantime be sure to check out the
Disney Parks Blog or even the
Disney Eats Foodie Guide for a glimpse of the ghoulishly good things that await when you come for the party!
Here's hoping that you encounter clear skies for your spooky evening!
