Hi! I just purchased a new magic key that is an upgrade from my previous. It doesn’t let me book a reservation for this month only November and onward. But will I be charged now even if I can’t use the pass until next month?

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Bita!

Thanks for bringing your question to us here at planDisney. Congratulations on being a member of the Magic Key program at the Disneyland Resort! I have been enjoying my Imagine Key for almost a year now. It's actually time for me to renew, just like you. My little Mouseketeer and I love exploring the new Mickey's Toontown and trying out all the delicious food featured on Disney Eats on Instagram. Have you gotten to visit Tiana's Palace yet? It just opened last month, and I've gotta tell you, the red beans and rice and cornbread were magical!

So here's the scoop on Magic Key renewals: When your old passes expire, the new ones kick in. If you're making a one-time payment, you'll get charged right away, but you'll enjoy a full 365 days from your Magic Key renewal date.

I hope this information helps, Bita! If you have more questions, feel free to reach out again. I'm here to drop my best tips to make your visit to The Happiest Place On Earth as magical as can be!
