Hey there, Tracy! Thanks so much for popping in to planDisney with your question. You must be very excited for this upcoming visit to the Happiest Place on Earth with your son. You’re in for some fun mom-son bonding!
The short answer is yes, your son can link his ticket to his account. This is what he needs to do:
~ Create a
Disneyland account ~ Download the
Disneyland mobile app and log in to his Disneyland account
~ Go to Tickets and Passes
~ Click the “+” in the upper right corner
~ Go to “Link Tickets & Passes”
~ Here he can either enter the ticket ID number manually, or the easier way is to take a picture of his ticket on your phone from his phone, which will scan it in and link it to his account.
It will be easier for both of you to have your tickets handy in your Disneyland mobile app. But, the first time you enter the parks, they will give you each a physical ticket as well, plus take your photo (as once you use a ticket, only you can use it for the remaining time on the ticket.)
I hope you’ve got plans to watch the Nighttime Spectaculars at the parks! The
Main Street Electrical Parade and
World of Color each hold a special place in my heart. You can check the showtimes on the
entertainment schedule. Also, if you haven’t already, think about making a
dining reservation during your stay so you can both sit down, regroup, chat about your day and what you’ve enjoyed most. This is a fun way for my family and I to connect, especially if my husband and I are wandering the parks separately from our adventurous girls for a bit. If a restaurant you really want to try doesn't have any reservations available, keep trying within 24 hours as other Guests may cancel (or try joining the walk-up list at the host stand - I've had pretty good luck with this, even at popular eateries!)
The magic awaits! Have a super fabulous trip!
