I have purchased my mulit-day tickets through the MWR office and know that we will need to show the barcode them at the gate. Will we receive an actual ticket upon entry? What can I expect this ticket to look like? Can you recommend a way to carry it?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kelly!

I am so glad that you and your family are going to take advantage of the special Military Promotional Tickets. You will bring the ticket voucher you purchased on base and valid U.S. military identification to the main entrance gates at either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park to activate your tickets. Each person will then be given a standard paper ticket to use for the duration of the visit.

These paper tickets are about the size of a credit card, so I usually keep them in my wallet when I'm at the parks. If you are traveling with young children, I recommend that one adult carry the children's tickets so they don't get lost. Also, keep them in a waterproof location so they will be safe if you happen to go on an attraction where you will get wet like Splash Mountain or Grizzly River Run. One of my other tips is to take a picture of the back of each ticket. This way, if something does happen to a ticket or it gets misplaced, you can show the picture of the ticket to Guest Services and they should be able to look up and replace the ticket.

Please stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel again if you have any future questions. I hope you and your family have a truly magnificent time at the Disneyland Resort!
