Rebecca from VA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

If I purchased a military salute pass but did not activate it can I pay the difference to upgrade it to a Florida residents pass.

Hello Rebecca! Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you're here. As a military spouse, it's my privilege to help you today. On behalf of everyone here at planDisney, I sincerely thank you and your family for your service. Now, let's get to your question.

Walt Disney World Resort offers a range of wonderful benefits for military members and their families. My absolute favorite is the Disney Military Salute tickets. I’ve used them many times myself! Just recently, I became a Florida resident, so my first order of business was becoming an Annual Passholder. I’m happy to let you know that you can upgrade Military Salute tickets to an Annual Pass. Visit Guest Relations in the theme parks or the Disney Ticket Center located at Disney Springs, where a friendly Cast Member will be more than happy to assist you. My brother did this very thing when he became an Annual Passholder last year. Just be sure you have at least two days left on your ticket. I recommend upgrading as soon as you can!

There are so many wonderful benefits to being an Annual Passholder. My personal favorites are the discounts on merchandise and dining. Don’t forget to keep an eye on The Passholder Buzz, located in the  My Disney Experience app. This will keep you up to date on everything happening with your new Annual Pass!

Bonus tips: There's also a special military pricing option for the Memory Maker. When you upgrade your military salute ticket, make sure to ask the Cast Member about it, as you can only purchase it at Guest Relations. You'll also need to make theme park reservations with your Annual Pass.

Rebecca, I know you'll love being part of the Annual Passholder family. I certainly do! If you have any other questions, please come back, and I’ll be more than happy to help. Wishing you a magical day!

    Your personal planning companion,
