I just purchased 4 Military Salute (actually MYW) tickets for WDW. As these cards (tickets) do not conform to the typical 12 characters at the bottom left corner, how can I link these tickets to the party members to whom they belong?

    Hi Mark! Welcome to planDisney.

On behalf of my fellow panelists and my own military family, I'd like to thank you for your service. I'm so grateful for the fantastic military discounts that allow my family to return to the Walt Disney World Resort again and again - it's my favorite place for together time. I see you're planning a November visit, and that might be my very favorite month of the year for a Disney visit, with cooler weather and holiday magic in the air. I'm excited for you!

The military-discounted Magic Your Way tickets that you can buy at your local base ticket offices are usually ticket cards that look very similar to the standard cards. Having said that, there are so many different military discounted tickets out there, some in the form of paper exchange certificates, so I'm not surprised to hear you're not finding the ticket ID to link your tickets to My Disney Experience.

In the "Tickets & Passes" section of the My Disney Experience app (the steps are very similar on the desktop version), tap the "+" icon and then "Link Tickets & Passes." On this page in the app, you can use the barcode scanner to scan the back of your ticket card. (I find this hit or miss, so don't worry if it doesn't work for you.) You'll also see a "Where is the ID number?" link, and if you tap that, you'll see sample ticket cards with 12, 17, and 20 digit ticket ID numbers. Hopefully one of these will look like yours and you'll be all set. Then, enter your ticket ID in the field and follow the steps to link each ticket to a Guest.

If you run into trouble after following these steps, a Cast Member at the My Disney Experience help desk will be able to assist you. They can be reached by calling (407) 939-4357. I have had issues linking military tickets from time to time in the past, and have always found these Cast Members to be super helpful and speedy - they've got their pixie dust ready!

Once you've linked your tickets, don't forget to make your Disney Park Pass reservations. These are required for each day you plan to enter a theme park, and some dates are filling up quickly.

Did you know there is a military discount on Memory Maker? This is a must-buy for us with every visit - we love the attraction photos and the convenience of posing with PhotoPass photographers in the theme parks. We've captured some fun, silly, magical, and frame-worthy family photos over the years.

Thanks for stopping by today, Mark! As you make plans for your visit this November, please come back and see us if you think of any further questions.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
