Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Brian. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
I hope you are getting very excited about your upcoming
Walt Disney World vacation, Brian. December is my favorite time of the year to visit. The theme parks are dressed up in their holiday best and it is so festive and fun!
Speaking of festive, you are in for a real treat attending
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It's my favorite special ticketed event all year long. So Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party actually starts at 7:00 p.m. With your ticket, however, you are allowed entry into Magic Kingdom Park starting at 4:00 p.m. The theme park actually closes to day Guests at 6:00 p.m. and then all of the festivities begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. This ticket is different than a traditional standard theme park ticket that allows you entry to the theme park in the morning when the parks open. If you would like to visit Magic Kingdom Park all day, then you would need to purchase a separate theme park ticket for that specific day and make a park pass reservation.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is rockin' around the Christmas tree until midnight which is pretty late. If it were me, I'd skip the day ticket and sleep in and slowly enjoy the morning. Then, I'd have a good lunch and be at Magic Kingdom Park right at 4:00 p.m. when you can enter with your special event ticket. Then, you can enjoy a few attractions before the party starts that way you can focus only on party activities for the rest of the night. I find this is the best way to maximize your party ticket and get the most value out of it.
I hope this helps, Brian. If you have other questions before you go, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me.
Happy holidays!
Jackie H.
