Hello, Ashley! Are you getting so excited about your Walt Disney World vacation? It's right around the corner, I bet the countdown is on!
The
Memory Maker is actually one of my favorite add ons to a Walt Disney World vacation. I think it is so nice that you don't have to worry about getting your phone or camera out every time you want to take a picture. I also love that everyone gets to be in the picture since there are
PhotoPass photographers scattered around the Walt Disney World Theme Parks ready to take those precious pictures for you!
The Memory Maker includes digital downloads of pictures and videos from your Walt Disney World vacation, certain attraction photos, pictures in front of iconic landmarks throughout the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Magic Shots. Magic Shots are basically a little pixie dust sprinkled into your photo. Sometimes the PhotoPass photographer will add a character into your picture, balloons or whatever else they have to make it special. Most of the time, if a PhotoPass photographer has a magic shot available for them to use, they will automatically include it in the set of pictures they take of you. Sometimes if I am looking for a particular Magic Shot, before we get our pictures taken, I'll ask the PhotoPass photographer if they have any Magic Shots that day to use. This politely makes the PhotoPass photographer aware I am interested in those shots and if they weren't planning on using them then they typically will. When you are viewing your pictures on your
MyDisneyExperience account, sometimes it does take longer for the Magic Shot to appear. So you might see a bunch of pictures from a set that you know included a Magic Shot but not see that one right away. Give it a day or so and it should show up.
There are more features available for you to edit your pictures within your MyDisneyExperience account. I like to use the mobile app because after I've finished editing them, I just download them straight to my smartphone for sharing purposes. To customize your downloads, open the
MyDisneyExperience app. Click the three horizontal lines icon on the bottom right hand of your screen. This will open up several different options for you to choose from. To edit your pictures you will want to select the "Photos" icon. Then select the picture that you'd like to edit. You'll see options to edit, save or share and you'll need to select the "Edit" option. This will open up features to crop your photo, add filters, add stickers and add borders. You can do as many edits as you'd like to each picture. I think some of the borders are really cute and there are all different themes like Walt Disney World, the fab 5, Disney Princesses, Happy Birthday and so many others. The stickers that you can add are cute too. Some say the year, some are the celebrate buttons that you can get at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, there are also characters to choose from and a lot of other options as well.
If you don't end up getting a Magic Shot that you absolutely love, you can add a little bit of your own magic to your PhotoPass photos by customizing them in your MyDisneyExperience account. Ashley, I hope you have so much fun on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. If you have any other questions before your trip, please come back and
ask me.
