Hi Kristen, welcome to planDisney!
You are in for some picture-perfect fun during your October visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Disney PhotoPass photographers are ready and waiting to capture your magic moments by all four theme park icons, which transform into stunning
Beacons of Magic at night.
Memory Maker is my favorite Disney souvenEAR because it gives the gift of downloadable memories that last a lifetime. I understand your Memory Maker purchase is safely housed in your
My Disney Experience account and that your friend would like to take
Disney PhotoPass pictures before you arrive. Your purchase allows you to view and download your Disney PhotoPass pictures and images of up to 25 members of your
Family and Friends list. Here's how that works:
1. Make sure you and your friend are connected as
Family and Friends in My Disney Experience.
2. Ask your friend to click "Update" next to your name as it appears on her Family and Friends list to ensure that the "My Disney PhotoPass Photos" box is checked. Note that this box can only be checked/unchecked online, not in the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
3. To download Disney PhotoPass media in your My Disney Experience mobile app, click the three small lines at the bottom right of the home page and "Photos." Next click "Filter" and make sure "View All" is selected under the "Family and Friends" heading.
4. Your Memory Maker purchase will activate as soon as you click to download your first image and will include all Disney PhotoPass media downloaded within 30 days of activation. This means you can activate your purchase as soon as your friend's first image appears, or you can wait to activate it until after your arrival. Either way, you'll be able to download pictures from your friend's first park days because the images don't expire until 45 days after they are taken. Also, keep in mind that you are the only one able to download and view unwatermarked images since the Memory Maker purchase is linked to your My Disney Experience account.
I just returned home from a fabulous ladies' trip to Walt Disney World Resort. There were seven of us traveling together, and one person was in charge of downloading all of the Disney PhotoPass images and saving them to a shared folder. She added photos regularly throughout the day, usually during rest breaks or meal times. Each download was met with a shared smile or laugh as we relived our magic moments.
To reiterate, all Disney PhotoPass images expire 45 days after they are taken. I recommend downloading all of your media on a desktop computer after you return home to maximize storage options.
I hope you found this information snapshot helpful, Kristen. Come back and see us at planDisney again soon.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
