Welcome, Tiffany!
I am so glad that you have brought your question to us here at planDisney. I always purchase a
Memory Maker for every trip I take to the Walt Disney World Resort. I love reminiscing over my new core memories when I get home. It helps to keep the magic going while at home planning my next return trip.
It sounds like your Memory Maker may not be activated yet. Since a Memory Maker is only active for 30 days, they are not activated at the time of purchase. To begin the activation process, have your husband open the
My Disney Experience mobile app, tap on the 3 horizontal lines in the bottom right corner and select
Photos from the menu. Select a photo with a watermark on it and tap it. When you tap it again you will receive a notification asking you if you want to activate your Memory Maker. Confirm that you wish to activate it and the watermarks will automagically disappear.
If for some reason your husband does not receive the notification to activate Memory Maker, he may not be assigned to manage the account. Only the manager/owner of the Memory Maker can download photos without the watermark. It is possible that you could be the manager of this service, so I suggest that you attempt to activate Memory Maker using the same process above. If you are the owner, you will have to download all the photos on your account to share with everyone else. If you are unable to activate the Memory Maker, I suggest that you sign in to your My Disney Experience account on a computer or laptop and select the
My Plans tab. Scroll down to the
My Plans, Tickets, and Reservations section. Click on the
Tickets & Memory Maker tab, and under Memory Maker purchases, you will see who the person that has been assigned to manage the Memory Maker account.
It is important that you download all your core memories before they expire. You can purchase an extension for 15 days for a small fee, giving you time to download your memories. You can also download all your memories all at once from a computer or laptop. The manager of the Memory Maker account will need to sign in to My Disney Experience and click on the
My Photos tab. Be sure to click on the
Include Family & Friends button and select a photo. Click on
Select all visible media and then the
Download button. A download will begin and all your photos will be saved to a zip file in your computer’s download folder. You can also purchase an
Archive DVD or Archive USB drive to store your memories as a backup for safe keeping.
I hope this helps you store your precious memories. If you have any other technical issues, you can reach out to a Cast Member on the
Disney PhotoPass team at (407) 560-4300.
Say cheese,
Andrea
