We have purchased the memory maker, but our trip isn’t for another month. How do we activate the memory maker?

Hello Maggie, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great planning question.

Congratulations on your purchase of a Memory Maker. This is one of my favorite PhotoPass products because it allows me to preserve all of my family’s memories during our Disney vacations. Your Memory Maker will become active when a Disney PhotoPass Photographer downloads a photo to your Memory Maker by scanning your MagicBand. PhotoPass photographers allow everyone in the family to get in the picture, by capturing your family in front of some of the most iconic landmarks at the Walt Disney World Resort. You can take as many photos as you like during character meet and greet experiences, onboard ride photos and video and at select Character dining locations.

Memory Maker also allows you to crop, edit and add cool borders and stickers to your photos. You have unlimited downloads of all your memories during the length of your active Memory Maker, so you can share them with friends and family. You will have 30 days from the date your first photo is added to your account before it expires. I would recommend ordering the Memory Maker archive DVD as a backup to all of your downloaded photos. You can also order other products featuring your vacation memories, like mugs, mouse pads, phone cases and much more. Enjoy a wonderful trip and if you have any more questions, please come back and visit us again.

    Say cheese,
