We have purchased Memory Maker on previous trips, so I am familiar with that service. I am wondering what the difference between Memory Maker and Photo Pass is? If I don't purchase Memory Maker, can I still purchase the Photo Pass CD? Thanks

    Hi Patty,

So excited that you’ll be arriving in just a couple of months. I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful vacation.

Disney PhotoPass Service lets you be in the shot and lets you leave those bulky camera bags back home. All you need to do is put in your best smile, and let the Disney PhotoPass Photographers do the dirty work. They are available all over the theme parks, and all you need to do is approach them. They’ll take some wonderful pictures, but you also want to ask them to get some Magic Shots. There’s nothing better than a picture, or even a short video, in front of Cinderella’s castle with Tinker Bell sprinkling pixie dust over you.

Memory Maker lets you bring all those memories back home. Not only will you get all the photos and Magic Shots taken by the Disney PhotoPass Photographers, but also attraction photos and videos, and dining photos. When you purchase this entitlement, you will get access to download a high resolution file all of these memories. Currently priced at $169, it is a great option to add. But note that Memory Maker – Advance Purchase is also available for only $149, provided you purchase it at least three days before your arrival. Oh, you can also see all photos and videos directly on your phone with the My Disney Experience mobile
To summarize, Disney PhotoPass is the service that takes the pictures, whereas Memory Maker allows to bring all of those memories back home for a low price. You can still purchase individual photo downloads or prints, or other fun products and keepsakes. An option to get a CD with the all the files is only available as an add-on, once you purchase Memory Maker.

    See you real soon!
