Hello Jeni!
Welcome back to
planDisney! It's lovely to see you with another excellent question. Let's
focus and
capture the perfect answer for you!
I love that you purchased Memory Maker before your November adventure. There is no souvenir more precious than images of your magical vacation memories. My little ones always
flash their biggest smiles for on-ride photos, and my husband and I love that Memory Maker ensures the whole family is always in the frame!
Since you purchased
Memory Maker through the My Disney Experience website, it should already be linked to your account. While it won't appear in your mobile app just yet, don't worry! Once you snap your first
Disney PhotoPass picture at
Walt Disney World, Memory Maker will auto-magically activate, and your photos will appear watermark-free in your Photo Gallery. If this isn't the case, stop by Guest Relations or use the in-app chat feature, and a friendly Cast Member will assist you.
I hope this is helpful, Jeni! Before I go, I'll share some tips for using Memory Maker on your trip - insider info from an
Annual Passholder who has had it on her account for the past three years!
*To view your Disney PhotoPass images on your mobile device, simply tap the three parallel lines at the bottom right of your
My Disney Experience app. Scroll down and click on "Photo Gallery" under Disney PhotoPass.
*Disney PhotoPass images are available for 45 days from the date the photo was taken. Be sure to download any favorites before they fade away!
*If you're missing an on-ride photo, contact Disney PhotoPass, and they might be able to find it for you. Neither of my kids wore their MagicBands on
TRON Lightcycle/Run and were so disappointed they didn't have proof of their first ride on this attraction. I filled out the
form here, and our missing photo arrived a few days later.
*Disney PhotoPass photographers are typically busiest within a couple of hours of park opening, but the best lighting for pictures tends to be later in the day, just before sunset, aka the "Golden Hour" in photography lingo. My family's best shots are usually the ones we take on our way into a theme park for dinner, about two hours before nightfall. The photographers' queues are shorter, and the colors are even more beautiful.
Thanks again for sending your question our way, Jeni. Best wishes for a picture-perfect vacation, and we look forward to welcoming you "home" very soon!
TTFN, ta ta for now,
Betsy
