Hi there Marleshia! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your question. I’m thrilled to help you today! It’s always exciting to hear that you’re getting ready for your magical
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I know that figuring out all the details, especially when it comes to Memory Maker and linking it to your My Disney Experience account, can sometimes be a bit tricky, but don’t worry! I’ll walk you through exactly what to expect and how to make sure everything is set up correctly so you can capture every unforgettable moment of your trip.
If you purchased
Memory Maker while you were logged into your My Disney Experience account, it should link automatically. You can check by signing in and looking under “Tickets & Passes” or “My Plans.” If it appears there, you’re all set, once you take your first Disney PhotoPass picture using your MagicBand, park ticket, or PhotoPass card, the Memory Maker will activate and remove the watermarks from your photos.
If you don’t see it linked, you can add it manually. Open the My Disney Experience app or log in to the Disney World website. Go to the section for “Tickets & Passes” or “My Plans,” then choose the option to link more plans or tickets. Select the Memory Maker option and enter your Memory Maker ID, ticket number, or the confirmation number from your purchase. Once it’s linked and your first photo is added, the system should prompt you to activate it.
If your confirmation number isn’t being accepted, a few things could be happening. It's been my experience that sometimes Disney’s system takes several hours to update after purchase, so it may appear automatically later. If you bought Memory Maker under a different Disney account or as part of a vacation package, it may already be linked to that reservation instead of your individual confirmation number. The number you’re entering may also be a general order confirmation rather than the specific Memory Maker ID Disney’s system is looking for.
If you’ve confirmed you’re in the right account and it’s still not showing up, try signing in on a desktop browser instead of the app. The linking process can be more reliable there. If it still doesn’t connect, contact
Disney’s PhotoPass Support or use the live chat feature in the My Disney Experience app. They can verify your purchase and manually link it to your account if needed.
Marleshia, it sounds like your upcoming visit is going to be filled with so many magical memories and with Memory Maker, you’ll be able to relive those moments again and again! From character hugs and castle selfies to those spontaneous smiles caught by Disney PhotoPass photographers, every picture will help tell the story of your trip. Thank you so much for visiting planDisney with your question. I hope your vacation is full of laughter, unforgettable photos, and all the pixie dust that makes a Walt Disney World Resort visit truly special!
