    We purchased the meal plan. If just my husband and I enjoy a date night (yippee) and go to California Grill, this will use 4 table credits. How do I then handle that my two children would have each have 1 remaining table credits to use on their own?

    Hi Michelle!

    My family and I really love the Disney Dining Plans.  As the Mom and official vacation planner for our family I have come across the same situation with my family in having extra children's table service credits.    It sounds like you are using the "regular" Disney Dining Plan and not the deluxe so I will answer from that perspective.

    There are three choices:
    • Do nothing and let the children's table service credits expire
    • Pay out of pocket for two adults at the California Grill
    • Pay out of pocket for two adults at another less expensive table service restaurant and use the children's credits there

    My selection has always been the third choice.  My kids love the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre in Hollywood Studios.  It is a very reasonably priced table service restaurant and the portions are large.  In fact my husband once ordered the Picnic Burger while I ordered a side salad to share between us and we still had too much food.  Here is a link to check out the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Lunch Menu. 

    When using the regular Disney Dining Plan I usually budget to bring a small amount of extra money for situations like this as well as for the occasional turkey leg (don't you wish it was a snack credit!?).
