Hi! I purchased MagicBand+ for the whole family and the Droid one that we paired had the color theme option of “droid” and when another color was clicked- that option disappeared. Is this correct? Is there a way to get it back? Thank you!

Hi Christa, thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

The interactive lights and haptic buzzes are some of my favorite features on the MagicBand+. I love that my MagicBand+ reacts to what is happening around me in the theme parks!

You can customize your MagicBand+ in the “MagicBands and More” section of the My Disney Experience app. Select the band you want to customize and then find the section “Light Up Theme.” It sounds like you’ve made it through this step and your “Droid” theme option has disappeared from the “Special Themes” section.

There are a few things to try when you’re having issues with your MagicBand+. The first is to make sure your MagicBand+ is fully charged and up to date. You can see the battery level of your MagicBand+ in the “MagicBands and More” section of the My Disney Experience app, as well as if there are any MagicBand+ updates. Your MagicBand+ will need to be at least half charged in order to complete a software update. While your MagicBand+ is charging, I recommend making sure your My Disney Experience app is also up to date.

If those updates haven’t fixed the issue, the next step is to turn your MagicBand+ off and then on again. Turn off your MagicBand+ by pressing the button on the back of the band for six seconds and then pressing it again for one second.

If the Special Theme you’re looking for still isn’t there, you can Factory Reset your MagicBand+. Do this by pressing the button on the back of the band once, then pressing it again for 15 seconds. Your MagicBand+ will buzz three times and will light up with rainbow colors. The lights will turn off, and then flash green once the factory reset is complete. After this step, you’ll need to restart the set-up process for your MagicBand+.

If you’re still having issues, I suggest speaking to a Cast Member by calling the number listed here under “My Disney Experience, MagicBand, and MagicBand+."

Once you’ve got your Droid themed MagicBand+ customized, make sure you visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! You can use the MagicBand+ to join the Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters!
