Well, I have faced this dilemma! I had to decline the
MagicBand for myself to complete the order for the rest of my party through
My Disney Experience. I did call to doublecheck with a
cast member in Website Support and the cast member also indicated that you would need to decline yours to then complete the order for the others. Once your MagicBand is linked and the others ordered and linked, you should be good to go!
Before or after completing that order, you can link your MagicBand or
MagicBand+ in My Disney Experience. From the website, just click on My Disney Experience and then click on My MagicBand and Cards. Then scroll down and click on the tab to Link.
I will add that I actually love having more than one MagicBand or MagicBand+. So, if you can, it might be a good idea to order another one to have as a backup. There have been several times when one of us (myself included) have misplaced a MagicBand. So, I always bring at least two for each of us when we travel.
Holly, as you finalize those plans, be sure to check out the details for
Lightning Lane Passes and review the information about attractions that offer a
Virtual Queue. If you have not yet done so, make plans for at least one relaxing day at the resort hotel. And, finally, I hope you have plans for a few
character meal experiences. If so, make advanced dining reservations. We love these experiences because we get to see our favorite characters!
