We purchased Magic Your Way Tickets, book a room in the Disney Resort, and have ordered our Magic Bands. Do Magic Bands automatically give us Fast Pass+ access? If so, what is the difference between the Magic Bands and the Fast Pass, or are they the same?

    Hi Johnelly,

I hope you love the Magic Bands! I love mine because can no longer lose my Key to the World card as it is on my Magic Band.

Magic Bands are available to guests staying at Walt Disney World Resorts and annual pass holders. The Magic Bands can be customized for each person in your party with different colors and names. They can further be customized with covers and other items. At a minimum, your Magic Band will hold your Key to the World room key. Using My Disney Experience, you can add park tickets, room charging privileges, Advance Dining Reservations,  and FastPass+ selections.

You can begin making your FastPass+ reservations 60 days prior to your arrival if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort and 30 days for all other guests. You can make these through your My Disney Experience. Your FastPass+ can be updated or changed up until you use your FastPass+. As of August 2014, you are eligible to book up to three FastPass+ per guest in one park. After your third FastPass+ is used, you can then book a renewable FastPass+. This renewable FastPass+ can be used in any park and can be renewed after each use until the park closes.

Pre-scheduling your FastPass+ allows you to books some of your favorite attractions ahead of time.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
