I purchased and Magic key to start at the end of the year. Can I buy a regular ticket for the park and use it before I activate my Magic Key?

    Hey William!

    Welcome to planDisney!

Welcome to the Magic Key Club! Well, there’s not really a club but I did want to congratulate you on your purchase. My family and I just joined about a week ago and we’re so excited to get back to the Magic. As a Magic Key Holder, you’ll enjoy a year of reservation based admission, exclusive benefits and more. It’s the perfect way to stop by the parks and enjoy a quick meal, your favorite attraction or make a day out of your visit. My family even likes to plan stay-cations and enjoy a few days in the parks. As you can see, it’s very flexible.

I see that you’re hoping to visit Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park before you use your Magic Key Pass for the first time. You can absolutely purchase a regular ticket and use that before activating your Magic Key Pass. Just make sure that you don’t use any of the Magic Key benefits like parking or discounts on food and merchandise as that could activate the pass and start your calendar even though you used a regular ticket to enter the theme parks.

Well William, if any other Magic Key questions arise you know where to find us.

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
