I just purchased Magic Key Passes for my family. When we had the Annual Passes, we always decided to visit the parks last minute. Can we still visit the parks after 1:00 pm without a reservation for any of the parks as long as it’s not a blocked out date?

Hi there, Nicola. Welcome back to planDisney. Thanks for swinging by with another question for us.

Congratulations on becoming Magic Key Passholders. You’ll find many similarities between the former Annual Passport program and the new Magic Key Pass program. Like the Annual Passport, with a Magic Key Pass, you’ll be able to visit often and create new memories with family and friends at the Happiest Place on Earth. You’ll also receive discounts to select merchandise and dining locations throughout the Disneyland Resort! The biggest difference is that since the Disneyland Resort theme parks reopened in late April after the pandemic forced the parks’ closure, Guests are required to make theme park reservations prior to entry (regardless of Magic Key Passes or day passes). If you have a theme park reservation for the day, you can enter either park at 1 PM.

If you have more trip-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again. We’re all EARS!

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
