    Hello. I just purchased a Magic key but I am not sure when the payments are due. Also are the charges automatic?

    Hey howdy hey, Gabriel! You’ve got a friend in me at planDisney!

    First off, congratulations on your recent Magic Key purchase! Get ready for a year filled with magical adventures, special discounts, and fun giveaways! 

    It sounds like you selected the Monthly Payment option during your Magic Key transaction. I also chose this option for my Magic Key, so I was able to check my Monthly Payment contract to help answer your question. According to the contract, your first payment and your remaining payments will be due on the same date each month, which is the date that you purchased your Magic Key on. So, if you purchased your Key on November 16, for example, then your first payment was most likely charged to your card on file on that day, and your remaining 11 payments will be on the 16th of each month thereafter. These monthly payments are set to automatically charge to your card each month. Since it sounds like you’re a new Magic Key holder, then you probably also had your down payment charged along with your first monthly payment. You can also find this information on your Monthly Payment contract, which you should have received at the email address that’s associated with your Disney account.

    If for any reason you need to change the card you have on file, you can do so by calling the Monthly Payment Team at (800) 410-4656, and selecting option 1. You can reach this team Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM – 8:00 PM PST and Saturday or Sunday from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM PST, excluding holidays.
