I purchased a magic key for my mother in law which she has not used. I have a son that is about to turn three. Am I able to transfer the pass to my son perminantly?

Hi Josh! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you found us and asked this great question.

What a nice son-in-law you are to purchase such a thoughtful gift for your mother-in-law! A Disneyland Magic Key is a magical gift that keeps on giving. I'm sorry to hear she hasn't been able to use her Magic Key Pass yet. Unfortunately, Magic Key Passes are nontransferable and cannot be reassigned to another person, even when unused. Your mother-in-law has one year from the date of purchase to activate her Magic Key Pass and I hope this will help to know.

The Happiest Place on Earth has a very special celebration starting next month and it's the perfect reason to visit! The pixie-dusted Disney100 Celebration is going to be filled with so many fun things to see and do. I hope you and your family can plan to go!

If you have more planning questions about visiting the Disneyland Resort, please feel free to stop by planDisney again. We would love to help!

    Happy Planning!
    Smiles,
