    Hello!! We purchased magic bands (because we stayed off Disney property) in October of 2017. Can we re-use these magic bands when we go to Disney this coming June 2018? Can I re-assign them to new people?

    Thank you for visiting us with your great questions about re-using and transferring MagicBands.

    Amy, as long as your MagicBands are in working condition and listed as “active” in your My Disney Experience account, you can use them time and time again! You can most certainly re-use the MagicBands you purchased in October of 2017 for your upcoming vacation. I encourage you to visit the 'MagicBands and Cards' section of your My Disney Experience profile to verify that your MagicBand is listed as active.

    However, MagicBands are non-transferrable and cannot be re-assigned to a new Guest. MagicBands are unique to their owners and only the original owner can use it. Please keep in mind that in addition to a Guest touching her/his MagicBand to a touch point, they will be required to scan a finger to enter the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. This process helps to ensure that only that Guest has access to the entitlements linked to their MagicBand.
