    We purchased our magic bands for our Nov 2019 trip. We are going again in Dec of 2020 and would like to reuse them. Should they still be ok to use then? If we arrive and they don't work will they give us the plain complimentary ones to use?

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question!

    I have a Princess Tiana MagicBand that was purchased in July 2017 and I absolutely love it! The last time I used it was in October 2018 and it was working perfectly fine.

    The single-use batteries inside MagicBands have a life span of approximately 2 years, so this means that you will probably be able to use the ones you purchased in November 2019 during your December 2020 visit. Please note that complimentary MagicBands are not provided in case the ones you have show any problems. However, if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel you will receive new complimentary ones even if you already have bands from previous visits.

    In case you are going to Be Our Guest, do not forget to customize your MagicBands! Sign in to your Disney account to choose complimentary solid colors or purchase a brand new one from a variety of different designs at a discounted price.
