    We purchased Magic Bands (not +) in WDW recently. Will they be usable in Disney Land, or will only Magic Band+ work there?

    You bring up a great question, and I can certainly help to clarify!

    MagicBand+ is finally coming to the Disneyland Resort, and it officially launches on October 26, 2022! Currently, only MagicBand+ is supported at Disneyland Resort. MagicBand and MagicBand 2 are not supported at Disneyland Resort at this time, and cannot be linked to the Disneyland Mobile app.

    But onto the good news! You can use the same MagicBand+ at both Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort. I actually have a MagicBand+ that I purchased during my last visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, and I can’t wait to use it at the Disneyland Resort on my next visit!

    MagicBand+ is going to be a welcome addition to the Disneyland Resort. You’ll be able to use your MagicBand+ to enter the parks, check in at Lightning Lane entrances, and enjoy enhanced experiences, such as having your MagicBand+ glow with different colors and pulses with haptic vibrations during various nighttime spectaculars, and even acting as your guide as you seek virtual bounties hidden across Black Spire Outpost during Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters!
