I purchased a Magic band+ for my 9 years old grandson. How is that Magic band+ managed?

    Hi Ivonne,

Welcome to planDisney! I am so happy to hear that you have an upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort with your grandson!

Let's talk about the MagicBand+ that you purchased. An adult in your party (that could be you) should have a My Disney Experience account with a profile for your grandson. So, for example, in my household, I am the one with the My Disney Experience account and I managed our girls' profiles in My Disney Experience until recently. One of our girls had to get her own account because she was on a separate trip with a school-affiliated group.

Whomever manages your grandson's profile in My Disney Experience needs to link that MagicBand+ to his profile. His park admission then should be linked to his profile in My Disney Experience as well so that his MagicBand+ connects to his theme park admission. Remember to also check to see if your grandson's theme park admission type requires a theme park reservation.

Looking at your arrival date, it is approaching soon! If you are staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, be sure to also check the early entry opportunities. We also absolutely adore the current fireworks shows, Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom and the newest show at EPCOT, Luminous - The Symphony of Us. If you have not done so already, check the show times prior to your visit and, when you are in the park, I suggest finding your viewing spot an hour prior to the show or at least 45 minutes prior.

Ivonne, let's consider the remainder of your pre-arrival checklist. I am hoping you all have advanced dining reservations, downloaded the My Disney Experience Mobile App, reviewed Disney Genie+, and familiarized yourselves with Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. We view all of these as time-saving measures that allow us to make the most of our park experience. With advanced dining reservations, we have our favorite, must-do restaurants and, and on each trip, we like to try one or two dining locations that we have not yet experienced.  Finally, we value the memories that we make on each trip, so we always use Memory Maker and take time to stop by and get photos with PhotoPass photographers in the parks. If you are celebrating a birthday or special occasion, consider doing a Capture Your Moment photo session. We did one at Magic Kingdom and had so much fun!

    Happy Planning!

    Magic and Memories,
