    Hi! I purchased a magic band from a store in Hollywood Studios. The band has not been taken out of the packaging and it has not been linked to any account. Is there any way to return it or exchange it?

    Hi Sarah, and welcome to planDisney!

    Since the start, MagicBands have always been a necessity for myself and my family when we vacation at Walt Disney World Resort! Now that the MagicBand+ will premiere at some point this summer, I can not wait to experience it and all its features. 

    Unfortunately, MagicBands may not be returned or exchanged. However, you have a few options as it relates to its use, should you choose to go that route. You can link it to your My Disney Experience account to be used for a future Walt Disney World Resort visit. Also, you can gift it to a family member or friend who may want to keep their theme park tickets on their wrists (so to speak). I like the idea of providing it to a younger family member who will get a kick out of having it on. If you were to gift it, just make sure it is linked to that receiver's My Disney Experience account before the first use.
