    I purchased a limited edition watch with mickey on the face during a recent wonderful 9 day trip to THE WORLD. There is a number 28 above his left hand. I hope someone can give me information about the meaning of the 28. Thank you

    The number 28 is significant when it comes to our pal Mickey Mouse ºOº

    In 1928 moviegoers in America saw Mickey in his very first theater appearance when Steamboat Willie was released for a 2 week trial run in New York.  Walt Disney really had to struggle to get someone to take him seriously and run his cartoon, and I am so glad that he succeeded!

    According to the book, _The Mickey Mouse Treasures_ by Robert Tieman "The Weekly Film Review raved: "It kept the audience laughing and chuckling from the moment the lead titles came on the screen, and left them applauding."".

    We love watching the very early Mickey Mouse and Pals cartoons...they still feel just as original today.
