Greetings, Susan, and welcome to planDisney! Your Disneyland adventure is almost here. Can you already smell the popcorn and hear the music of Main Street, U.S.A.? I'm happy that you will be taking advantage of the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass – it's a fantastic way to maximize the magic of your day. So let's talk about how you can use it!
Susan, you have flexibility with your Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Not every person in your party needs to use it at the same time, or even for the same attractions! Just make sure the theme park tickets for you and those in your group are linked in the
Disneyland mobile app. A ticket can be
linked to multiple accounts. I've found it easiest to have all the tickets for our group loaded on one person's app. That person, then, can easily manage the Lightning Lane selections for everyone instead of each person doing it individually. In your case, you'd select the members of your party who are there early when making a selection.
One thing to note: you can only use the multi pass once per attraction, so if you ride something early in the day without the rest of your group, you won’t be able to use it again for that same attraction later. A good strategy, since you mentioned rope drop, is to enjoy a few attractions via the standby queue in the morning, and then use your multi passes once everyone is together, if riding as a group is important to you.
The first two hours of the park opening are my favorite – the wait times are typically shorter for many attractions compared to other times of the day. I like heading towards the Rivers of America just after rope drop. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted Mansion are usually good options at the start of the day. Bonus tip: When you're waiting for the rope to drop, ask a Cast Member if you can borrow the "I made it to rope drop" sign. It's a great photo op!
And speaking of photos, your Multi Pass includes
unlimited PhotoPass digital downloads from the day. Stop by a few PhotoPass locations and take nice group photos against beautiful backgrounds. It's a wonderful way to capture the magic of your visit forever.
Susan, I hope this helps you feel even more ready for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. I wish you lots of pixie dust and happy memories.
Your pal,
Kriss
