We purchased Genie+ for our trip next week. When I go onto my app and go to "My Day" it shows nothing regarding Genie+ it actually asks if we would like to add it still. Is this something that shows the day of ?

    Hi Kim,

The countdown is on for your Disney vacation. I'm sure everyone is so excited! I think you're really going to love having Disney Genie+ and its phenomenal cosmic power in the palm of your hand.

When you look at "My Day" on the My Disney Experience app, that is specifically for today. If you want to make sure you do, indeed, have Genie+ added to your tickets. Go to the main menu of the app and select "Tickets and Passes." It will show you all of the tickets that you and anyone linked to your account has, for example: 2-Day Theme Park Base Ticket with Genie+, and it will also show the dates that your ticket is valid.

Then you'll want to head back to the main menu and click on Future Plans. This will show you your Resort Reservation, Park Reservations, Dining Reservations, and any other special reservations you might have planned.

You are correct in thinking that "My Day" will populate on the days you are visiting the parks, although I actually use the "Tip Board" to book my Lightning Lane reservations. I tend to refer to "My Day" to see plans I've made and itinerary suggestions.

As long as you have a park reservation and Genie+ added to your tickets, you will be able to book your first Lightning Lane at 7:00 AM. If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you'll also be able to purchase two Individual Lightning Lanes at that time as well.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
