I purchased the Genie+ service for my trip which falls after the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass goes into effect. I was wondering if the payment will carry over to the Multi-Pass? When I look on it it asks me to pay.

Welcome to planDisney, Roman. Let's get your question answered!

When the Disney Genie+ Service first launched, it allowed Guests to purchase it ahead of their trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. However, while this continued at the Disneyland Resort in California, it stopped at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in 2022. So, if you purchased a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package or theme park ticket, the likely reason you are being asked to pay for Lightning Lane Multi Pass is that you were not able to pre-purchase the Disney Genie+ Service when you booked your vacation. I would suggest looking at your confirmation email to confirm this and you can even look at the details of your reservation by selecting "My Plans" under the My Disney Experience dropdown menu. If you purchased a Disneyland Resort theme park ticket with the Disney Genie+ Service, it should transfer over to the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass Service and you shouldn't need to do anything additional. Depending on which resort you are visiting, you can either call a friendly Cast Member at the Disneyland Resort or at the Walt Disney World Resort if checking your confirmation email and/or reservation doesn't prove to be fruitful.

At the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, with the change to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Single Pass, Guests are not only once again able to purchase these services ahead of time, but they can also currently pre-book Lightning Lanes ahead of their visit (subject to availability)! If you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can do this up to 7 days ahead of your arrival date, giving you a distinct advantage over other Guests, who can begin to purchase these services 3 days ahead. With Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll be able to pre-book 3 Lightning Lanes for each day you have the service (subject to availability). With Lightning Lane Single Pass, you can purchase and pre-book up to 2 Lightning Lane reservations ahead of your visit per person, per day (subject to availability).

At the Disneyland Resort in California, you have the option to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass ahead of your visit. However, you currently cannot pre-book your Lightning Lanes ahead of time. Instead, you will book your reservations one at a time once you've scanned into one of the theme parks. Once you've used one, you'll be able to book another (subject to availability). You can also choose to purchase Lightning Lane Single Passes once you've scanned in as well.

Roman, best wishes for getting the Lightning Lane reservations of your dreams. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out directly to me!
