    Hi! I have purchased Genie + for my family coming to WDW in October 22, but I cannot see it anywhere on my plans or in myDisneyexperience. Will it just show up when I get my park tickets?

    Hey Howdy Hey Tessa and welcome to planDisney!

    Genie+ has been such a great addition to navigating the parks with reduced wait times. Having the ability to book your Lightning Lane entrances at various times throughout the day makes waiting in traditional standby lines and much less frequent occurrence. There are so many tips and tricks to using Genie+ and booking Lightning Lanes but before we get into a few, let's talk about where you would see them on your tickets. 

    Since the release of Genie+ earlier this year, there have been a few changes that have made Genie+ much different now than when it was first released. One of the biggest changes is its availability! Earlier this summer, Genie+ was changed from being available for purchase before your vacation to now only the day of your valid theme park ticket and reservation. As long as you purchased your tickets with the Genie+ option, you might be able to find it on your tickets in your My Disney Experience account. After you log onto your account, go to the "My Plans, Reservation and Tickets" section and you should see the heading "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" which you will click on. You should see all of your tickets here, the details of them and the members of your party they are assigned to. This would be the first place to check to see if your tickets do have the Genie+ option with them. As long as they do you should be set. 

    As long as you have your email confirmation with your transaction stating you purchased theme park tickets with the Genie+ option when it was available, that is what you might have to have handy during your stay as Genie+ usually magically appears on the days it is active. If you did want the ultimate double checking, you can ring Disney and ask to verify this option with a Cast Member. Just make sure you have your reservation number handy as well as the confirmation email just in case. 

    Recently Disney has updated its website to give more specific information on details on how to book Lightning Lane entrance windows and attractions that qualify for Genie+ service versus Individual Lightning Lane purchases that you might want to check out. Another tip I have for you to consider is booking your Lightning lanes. As long as you are staying onsite at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you have access to Early Theme Park Entry. You can get to the parks early and experience a few attractions before the general public while starting at 7:00 a.m. EST of your park visit, you can also start making Lightning Lane reservations. You can try and set these entrance windows to later in the afternoon when the park is busier so you can quickly experience several attractions. Make sure to book your next Lightning Lane selections 2 hours after the park officially opens or after you tap into your first attraction!
