Hi James! Welcome to planDisney!
First and foremost, I'm sending all my best wishes your way for a positive health outlook and a speedy recovery if necessary! As Princess Anna says, "Some things never change," but as we know from recent experience, some things certainly do! Let's talk about what can be done about your unused tickets.
Walt Disney World Resort Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable. However, in some instances, you can apply the value of your current ticket to a future visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. To do this, you'll simply change the date of your ticket to a later date, so it may be a good idea to look ahead in your calendar for the ideal time to plan your next trip. Open up your
My Disney Experience Mobile App and tap the menu button in the bottom right corner of the home page. Select "Tickets and Passes" and choose the particular ticket you'd like to change. Click "Change Ticket" and choose the best new start date for you. As pricing does vary throughout the year, you will need to pay the difference if you choose a date that is priced higher than your original ticket. I suggest checking the
Theme Park Reservation Availability before choosing your new ticket date, as you want to be sure that park pass reservations are available.
James, you can make this change up until midnight the day before your ticket start date. I'm always eager to get my plans in place and "let it go," so I'd suggest making the change as soon as possible so it doesn't slip through the ice.. er, I mean, cracks!
I know that this journey into the unknown can be a little overwhelming, but the Walt Disney World Resort will welcome you back with open arms as soon as you're feeling up to a visit!
Sending you all my best,
Ashley
