Hi Lisa and welcome to the Florida resident Passholder club!
There are three types of special events that happen at Walt Disney World. The first is called
Extra Magic Hours. These special hours are only for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. On select days at select parks, Resort hotel guests can enter the park before park opening or stay after the park closes. MagicBands will be scanned for Disney Resort hotel verification.
The second event is called
Disney After Hours and is currently available at Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom. These events take place for three hours after the parks have closed for the night and requires a separate ticket. Your annual pass will not get you into these events. A ticket to these events not only gives you admission, but also snacks and drinks like ice cream, popcorn and soda. The good news here is that there is a Passholder discount on the price of the tickets! *Discounts subject to change at any time.
The third is called
Disney Early Morning Magic and is available at Magic Kingdom Park in Fantasyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios in Toy Story Land. This pre-park opening event is specific to one "land" at the park and includes breakfast. This is also a separate ticketed event and is not included as a Passholder benefit.
Please stop back by if you have any additional questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
