Hi Lori,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m thrilled to hear that you’ve purchased your first
Walt Disney World Annual Pass in five years – congratulations! As someone who recently became an out-of-state
Incredi-Passholder myself, I can tell you that the benefits are truly amazing. Not only do you get unlimited visits to the parks (with theme park reservations, of course), but you also have access to exclusive discounts on dining, merchandise, and, best of all, resort stays. With so much changing at Walt Disney World, you’ll love rediscovering the magic with your new annual pass in hand.
To answer your question, a Cast Member confirmed that you can take advantage of Disney Resorts Collection hotel discounts offered to annual passholders once your pass is linked to your
MyDisney account or the
My Disney Experience app. However, there’s an important detail to keep in mind, you’ll need to activate your annual pass before you check in to the resort. If it’s not activated at that time, the room rate will automatically switch to the standard pricing for your stay. So, while you can book your discounted resort stay ahead of time, just be sure to activate that pass at the Theme Park Guest Relations or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.
If you need help choosing the perfect
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, I’ve got you covered! For a family-friendly option, the Family Suites at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are perfect, and you’ll love the themes (my favorite is Lion King). If you're craving a tropical getaway,
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort offers lush landscapes and access to the Disney Skyliner for easy transportation to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you prefer even quicker access to those parks, I recommend checking out
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn,
Disney’s Beach Club Resort, or
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, all within walking distance. And for the ultimate luxury experience,
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is simply breathtaking, with its Victorian elegance and just one stop away from Magic Kingdom on the monorail.
Let me know if you need help deciding which resort is best for your next vacation!
See you real soon!
Brent
